Refresher Bridge Series with Ginny Schuett Fall 2021
Fall 2021 Bridge Classes at Gorton with Ginny Schuett
IMPORTANT NOTE: We ask that any interested in joining this class must be vaccinated. Participants will be required to show proof of vaccination on the first day.
Payment: Participants MUST register via the Gorton website, but will pay Ginny Schuett directly ($200) the first day of class.
Program Name – REFRESHER BRIDGE – 5 single sessions
Different topics covered each week. Play 8 hands. Materials included. If you have been playing bridge for awhile, now is the time to expand key concepts in all areas of the game – bidding, play and defense.
9/9 – Forcing and Non-Forcing Bids
9/23 – Major Suit Game Tries
9/30 – Minor Suit Game Tries
10/7 – What to do after Stayman
10/14 – What to do after transfers
Date: Thursday – September 9, 23, 30, October 7, 14 (no lesson on 9/16)
Time: 12:00 PM -2:00 PM
Cost: $200 for all 5 sessions – single session drop-ins for $40 per session (Notify Ginny at least 1 day ahead)

Gorton Community Center will take and may use photos and videos from this event for its promotional purposes. Your attendance indicates your consent to the above.
Class Refund and Cancellation Policy: Refunds will only be given up to one week prior to the first week of class of any session. (The refund period for some classes, which require advanced reservations or purchase of materials, may be more limited.) Cancellations will incur a $5 handling fee for programs costing under $100 and a 10% handling fee for programs with fees of $100 or more. If a class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, you will be notified, and a full refund will be given.
If this class does not meet the minimum participation requirement, you will be notified of the cancellation within one week of the start date.
By purchasing a ticket to an event at Gorton, I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that my child(ren) and/or I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by attending or participating in a Gorton program, event or activity and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. I voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to my child(ren) or myself (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that I or my child(ren) may experience or incur in connection with my or my child(ren)’s attendance at Gorton or participation in a Gorton program, event or activity (“Claims”). On my behalf, and on behalf of my children, I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless Gorton, its employees, agents, and representatives, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto. I understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of Gorton, its employees, agents, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after participation in any Gorton program, event or activity.
