Gorton Center Announces New Director of Film Programs

Gorton Center, a community center located in Lake Forest, IL is proud to announce Josh Wolff as its new Director of Film Programs. Josh is a dynamic, award-winning storyteller with the ability to create an idea, and take it from script to screen. Resourceful and innovative, Josh holds many film and screenwriting credits including: “Expecting” Pilot Script, “Guidance” TV Pilot/Short Film, “Broken” Short Film, and “Hiccup” Short Film. He was also artist-in-residence in 2019 at Cliff Dwellers.

Josh holds a Master of Fine Arts, Cinema, Directing Concentration from DePaul University, and a Bachelor of Arts, Theatre and English from Bowdoin College. He also serves as adjunct faculty at DePaul School of Cinematic Arts presenting courses on screenwriting, cinema, and digital photography. Josh also served as the Artistic Associate of the Collision Theatre Company and did an Artistic Apprenticeship with the Steppenwolf Theatre.

“This opportunity at Gorton fuels a mission-driven passion, curating and sharing my love of film with a community and provides a fulfilling way to apply my love of filmmaking and cinema,” said Wolff. “I look forward to utilizing my love of storytelling and imagination in a new and challenging environment.
