July 1, 2024Gorton Center held its annual meeting of the board on Monday, May 13th. Following the meeting, the Gorton Board welcomes new members Jonathan Kelley and Perry Minter.
Jonathan Kelley has lived in Lake Bluff with his wife, Margaret, and three children since 2008. They are active members of Forest Bluff School, Community Church of Lake Forest and Lake Bluff, and the JDRF community. Jonathan graduated from University of Virginia and received an MBA from Northwestern Kellogg School of Management. He has two decades of experience in technology startups and product development and currently leads user experience for Ocient, a Chicago-based big data venture. The Kelley family frequently takes advantage of the arts and entertainment offerings at Gorton.
Perry Minter was born and raised in Lake Bluff and returned to her beloved hometown shortly after her first child was born. After earning her bachelor’s degree in Communications from Miami University, Perry lived in San Francisco and then New York City while helping to open new markets for Compass real estate. Perry has volunteered with many local organizations and currently serves on the Board of the Lake Forest chapter of Infant Welfare Society, and APT for Sheridan Elementary School. Perry and her husband, Trey, have two Daughters; Sage (7) is a first grader at Sheridan Elementary and Byrdie (5) attends the Winter Club Preschool in Lake Forest. Both Sage and Byrdie enjoyed many years at Gorton’s Children’s Learning Center and a new favorite offering is music class with Mr. V! Perry is a racquet sports enthusiast and also enjoys skiing, running, yoga and spending time with her family.
