Let’s celebrate the longest day of the year with a fun outdoor yoga practice followed by a wine & cheese toast to the sun on the spectacular grounds of Ragdale!
Join our yoga instructor, Areta, for this special Solstice Yoga tradition from 6:30 – 7:30 PM on the Ragdale grounds with a wine and cheese social hour following from 7:30 – 8:30pm. Bring your mat and your radiating energy!
The Summer solstice coming up on Thursday, June 20 is a celebrated holiday in the yoga tradition. It represents the longest day of the year, the first official day of summer, a chance to reconnect with nature and International Day of Yoga. As yogis, so many of our practices revolve around the sun such as Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskara). The origin of “saluting the sun” is about bowing too, and taking in the fiery solar energy of the sun, to become more awake, energized and grounded.
