Being a mom ain’t easy – AND we know that social support is key to learning, growing, and living life to our full potential. In this class, moms will explore both the ways motherhood is socially and culturally influenced as well as where parenting can be a gateway to healing and transformation. We’ll explore concepts like “matrescence” and the “Myth of the Perfect Mother” while integrating restorative and reflective mindfulness practices to deepen our self-understanding, self-compassion, and connection. This is for new and seasoned moms!
A clinical psychologist and certified mindfulness meditation teacher, Dr. Angele Close has been teaching workshops and courses on mindfulness, self-compassion, and emotional processing for over a decade. She now brings her years of training and knowledge from these traditions, informed by Internal Family Systems, into her work with moms. Her personal experiences as a mom of three and her journey of healing and awakening through motherhood has ignited a passion to help other moms get more out of motherhood. Dr. Close has a private practice as well as provides consultation, courses, and workshops through the Insight Timer platform where you can listen to her many highly rated guided meditations.
