Join us in the John & Nancy Hughes Theater for a toe-tapping, tail-wagging good time with Miss Jamie and her band! This high-energy, interactive show blends music, storytelling, puppetry and laughter to teach kids about nature, healthy eating, and the wonders of the animal world. With catchy original songs and lovable puppet friends, Miss Jamie makes learning unforgettable—and irresistibly fun. Perfect for young audiences and their grown-ups, her show sparks imagination and encourages kids to care for themselves, their communities, and the planet.
Perfect for ages 3-7, but younger and older children will enjoy the show as well.
Miss Jamie has been a professional singer, actor, and writer since childhood. A move from Los Angeles to a 600-acre ranch in small-town Texas deeply influenced her love of animals and nature—now central themes in her work. After having her first child in 2012, she launched a farm-themed children’s music act, complete with books and albums based on her show’s characters. In addition to performing year-round for kids and families, she is a public speaker on early childhood literacy and learning through music, and also works as a commercial voice actor. Jamie lives in Batavia, Illinois, in a little red farmhouse with her musician husband, their three kids, five chickens, and a dog named Bingo.
