Get into the holiday spirit with a fun and creative morning of festive crafting! Make two beautiful handmade decorations to bring warmth and color to your home all season long.

Start by creating a charming wooden centerpiece for your holiday table. Fill it with fresh seasonal greens and add your own creative touches. The finished centerpiece holds a candle and makes a beautiful addition to your holiday décor. You can also give it as a thoughtful handmade gift.

Next, create a luxurious velvet chain garland in rich, vibrant colors. Choose a style that fits your holiday décor and add a festive touch to your mantel, staircase, doorway, or another favorite space.

This workshop offers a relaxed and creative way to celebrate the season. Follow along with easy guidance, enjoy time with fellow makers, and have fun bringing your ideas to life.

No experience is needed, and we provide all materials. Just bring your holiday spirit and creativity! Leave with two beautiful decorations you can enjoy throughout the winter.

Louise is an Irish textile designer with over 30 years of experience in the fabric world. A self-proclaimed textile guru, she loves creating, teaching, and sharing the creative process with others. Always learning and exploring new ideas, Louise is passionate about inspiring others to discover the joy of textiles and creativity.

Gorton offers financial assistance and flexible payment options to individuals who may be unable to afford standard program fees. This support ensures that everyone has the opportunity to participate in meaningful learning and cultural enrichment experiences. Applications are reviewed based on demonstrated financial need.

Gorton Center will take and may use photos and videos from this event for its promotional purposes. Your attendance indicates your consent to the above.

Refunds will only be given up to one week prior to the first week of class of any session. (The refund period for some classes, which require advanced reservations or purchase of materials, may be more limited.) Cancellations will incur a $5 handling fee for programs costing under $100 and a 10% handling fee for programs with fees of $100 or more. If a class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, you will be notified, and a full refund will be given.

If this class does not meet the minimum participation requirement, you will be notified of the cancellation within one week of the start date.
