Gorton CenterFerris Bueller (Matthew Broderick) has an uncanny skill at cutting classes and getting away with it. Intending to make one last duck-out before graduation, Ferris calls in sick, “borrows” a Ferrari, and embarks on a one-day journey through the streets of Chicago. On Ferris’ trail is high school principal Rooney (Jeffrey Jones), determined to catch him in the act.
GORTON UNDER THE STARS
This outdoor screening is open air (not drive in). “Lawn seats” will be sectioned off in our parking lot facing the screen, bring your lawn chairs and blankets! Gorton’s seating gates open at 7pm; the film will begin at sundown – approximately 7:45pm.
Concessions including popcorn, candy and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. Our restrooms in the building will be open. Pets are not allowed at this event.
You may park in our upper lot, across the street at the train station, and along the north side of Illinois Road. Upon arrival, please find the tented check-in table and check in with a member of our staff.
Seating for this event is limited in order to comply with Illinois guidelines, and masks will be required when using the restroom, entering and exiting the event, and purchasing concessions.
Gorton Center will take and may use photos and videos from this event for its promotional purposes. Your attendance indicates your consent to the above.
There is no refund given for unused film or event tickets.
Purchases will be paused from Noon on Monday, January 13 through 6 pm Tuesday, January 14 as we undergo website maintenance.
