Unlock the secrets of one of history’s greatest artists in this unique and engaging art camp designed specifically for middle and high school students. Drawing Faces Like Da Vinci is a hands-on, skill-building camp where young artists will learn the timeless techniques of portrait drawing inspired by Leonardo da Vinci.

Over the course of five immersive sessions, students will explore da Vinci’s foundational principles, including facial symmetry, proportion, shading, and the golden ratio. Guided by experienced instructors, campers will analyze classic Renaissance works like the Vitruvian Man, while also using modern references from fashion, sports, and pop culture to create fresh, relevant portrait studies that appeal to a wide range of interests and artistic styles.

Through a combination of direct instruction, guided practice, and creative exploration, students will develop their observational skills and artistic confidence. They’ll learn how to accurately map out the human face, apply realistic shading techniques, and capture individual character and expression—resulting in striking portraits that blend classical technique with modern creativity.

This art camp is open to all skill levels, from beginners looking to build a strong foundation to experienced young artists seeking to refine their craft. Each participant will leave with a deeper understanding of artistic anatomy, a greater appreciation for Renaissance art, and a portfolio of finished, Renaissance-inspired portrait work to be proud of.
