Matisse Color Cut-Outs Collage
A new Henri Matisse exhibit opens March 7 at the Art Institute of Chicago. To celebrate, we’re bringing the bold spirit of his Cut-Outs into the classroom. First, we’ll explore color. Then, we’ll play with shape. Next, we’ll experiment with space and composition. Finally, you’ll create your own Matisse-inspired paper collage.
No experience is required. Instead, bring your curiosity. Whether you’re brand new to art or a seasoned creator, you’ll find joy in the process. Most importantly, our wellness art program helps you relax, connect, and have fun while you create.
All supplies provided. Ages 11+

This class is free, but spaces are limited and participants must pre-register.
