Following the resounding success of “Peter Pan Now: The Original Adaptation,” we are thrilled to introduce our next groundbreaking class: “Alice in Wonderland: Again,” the Original Adaptation. This course continues our tradition of creating innovative and original works inspired by timeless classics.

Step into the whimsical world of Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland,” where students will not only portray beloved characters like Alice, the Mad Hatter, and the Queen of Hearts but also collaborate in crafting new and imaginative dialogue. This is your chance to experience a creative process akin to the one that made “Peter Pan Now: The Original Adaptation” a hit.

Under the expert guidance of our award-winning head writer, Jeremy Kruse, you’ll delve into the depths of storytelling and bring fresh perspectives to Carroll’s enchanting narrative. Kruse, a published playwright, will help you unlock your potential and contribute to the creation of a truly unique theatrical experience.

Our visionary director, Madison Kisst, renowned for her leadership in the highly acclaimed production of “The Wizard of Oz,” returns to steer this exciting project. Her direction will ensure your performance is both compelling and memorable, pushing the boundaries of traditional theater.

About Our Artistic Director:

Jeremy Kruse, Artistic Director of Gorton Drama Studio is the author of “The Young Actor’s Handbook” (Applause Acting Series, 2017).The book was published in Korean and Chinese in 2022. Jeremy is a professional actor, published playwright, award-winning screenwriter, and award-winning filmmaker. Some of the classes he taught at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York include Method Acting, Comedic Improvisation, Sketch Comedy Writing, and Acting for Film and TV. He graduated from The Strasberg Institute at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts where he majored in drama. Jeremy also teaches privately, one on one  www.jeremykruse.com and www.jeremykruseactingtraining.com 

Instructor, Madison Kisst is an actor, director, and theatre teacher. She has taught for professional theater companies across the country and for the undergraduate acting program at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Madison has extensive training in physical and classical theatre, voice and movement, and devising. As an actor, some of her credits include: American Repertory Theater, Lyric Repertory Company, The Great American Melodrama and Vaudeville, Utah Shakespeare Festival, Idaho Shakespeare Festival, Nevada Conservatory Theater, and Santa Cruz Shakespeare. She has her BA in Theatre Arts and Master of Fine Arts in Performance.
