Intro to Acting Class for Adults

New to acting? Join our Intro to Acting class, perfect for beginners ready to explore the craft of acting. Begin with a free 30-minute consultation to discuss your goals, try a short exercise, and experience the Method acting approach. Then, you can enroll in three beginner sessions to learn essential acting skills and techniques. After the intro, continue with our advanced class for in-depth Method acting, covering advanced exercises, improvisation, and scene work for theater and film. For those interested, we also offer on-camera training and guidance for building a demo reel, with personalized support for auditions and career exploration in acting.

Class Schedule:

Free Consultation: First Thursday of each month

Beginner Sessions: Three one-hour sessions, $25 per session ($75 total)

Advanced Ongoing Class: Tuesdays, 6 pm to 8 pm

Jeremy Kruse, Artistic Director of Gorton Drama Studio, is the author of “The Young Actor’s Handbook” (Applause Acting Series, 2017).The book was published in Korean and Chinese in 2022. Jeremy is a professional actor, published playwright, award-winning screenwriter, and award-winning filmmaker. Some of the classes he taught at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York include Method Acting, Comedic Improvisation, Sketch Comedy Writing, and Acting for Film and TV. He graduated from The Strasberg Institute at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts where he majored in drama.
