Gorton CenterEN GARDE. PRÊT? ALLEZ! The Olympic sport of fencing demands quick thinking, agility, poise and speed. Fencing also develops discipline, respect, maturity and good sportsmanship, qualities that carry through to our every day life. This class is for those new to fencing or those who would like to work on the basic fencing skills. This class will cover basic rules, etiquette, footwork, attacks and defenses. Classes will consist of warm-up, footwork, group lesson and bouting.
This class runs on Mondays, July 31 – September 11 (No Class September 4), 5:00pm – 6:00pm
For Ages: 7 – 14 Years Old
Midwest Fencing Club’s mission is to help people discover, enjoy and excel in the sport of fencing by providing the highest level of instruction in a true sportsmanship environment. They have been serving the Chicagoland community for over 10 years. Their experience comes from National, NCAA, and Olympic champions. Their programs range from introductory levels to advanced competitive aspirations. Midwest Fencing Club welcome all ages to learn fencing, enjoy it as a hobby, or turn it into their professional sport.
