Do you love the TV show, “The Office?” Now is your chance to play Michael (Michelle), Dwight (Darla), Jim (Jill) or Pam (Paul)!

Students work on a family friendly adaptation of an Office episode. Rehearsals and filming are done on a set, in costume with props, camera, microphones, and lights. The final product is a complete episode that will be screened in the John and Nancy Hughes Theater at Gorton.

Students are expected to learn their lines, roughly three to five short scenes, every week for the shoot. There will be multiple casts and everyone will shoot weekly. If a student misses any classes, Jeremy will do his best to cover the scenes that are missed. Upon registration, request the part that you would like to play and then start practicing your acceptance speech in case you win a Dundie Award!– send email to krusejj@nullgmail.com

Instructor Bio: 

Jeremy Kruse, Artistic Director of Gorton Drama Studio, is the author of “The Young Actor’s Handbook” (Applause Acting Series, 2017). Jeremy is a professional actor, published playwright, award-winning screenwriter, and award-winning filmmaker. Some of the classes he taught at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York include Method Acting, Comedic Improvisation, Sketch Comedy Writing, and Acting for Film and TV. He graduated from The Strasberg Institute at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts where he majored in drama.
