Matt Mueller added as musical director for the upcoming class and production of “Peter Pan: The Original Adaptation” that begins Wednesday, January 10 at Gorton Center in Lake Forest.

Gorton Drama Studio is thrilled to announce the addition of Matt Mueller to our esteemed faculty and production team for the upcoming class and theatrical production, “Peter Pan: The Original Adaptation.” With a remarkable background in the performing arts, Matt brings a wealth of experience and creativity to our dynamic ensemble.

Renowned for his professional acting accomplishments, including his portrayal of Ronald Weasley in the Broadway production “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,” Matt will assume the role of musical director, leveraging his expertise to craft original songs that will add a unique and enchanting dimension to the show.

“Peter Pan: The Original Adaptation” is not just a theatrical experience; it’s a collaborative journey where students co-create a contemporary twist on the timeless classic. Drawing inspiration from the public domain novel “Peter Pan,” this course offers students the opportunity to engage in a developmental process similar to what Lin Manuel Miranda undertook with “Hamilton.”

Our creative team also includes Jeremy Kruse, a published playwright and award-winning dramatic writer and Madison Kisst, an accomplished director who recently led a highly successful production of “The Wizard of Oz” at Gorton Drama Studio. Madison and Jeremy will guide students through the magic of bringing storytelling to life.
