Rendezvous Arts’ Season 6 opens with the kind of energy that sets the tone for the year: the Woodwind Celebration is back! What began as a surprising hit has become a signature favorite, with an octet of 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, 2 French horns, and 2 bassoons creating a sound that is rich, layered, and unforgettable.
This season’s program pairs the elegance of Josef Mysliveček’s Octet, where each pair of instruments steps into the spotlight in luminous duets, with the striking textures of Ruth Gipps’ Octet, Op. 65, a modern work that is bold yet intimate. The evening concludes with vibrant arrangements from Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro, bringing familiar melodies to life in a way that feels fresh and immediate.
It is the perfect way to open the season!
Dan Grzeca – Visual Artist
Chicago’s own Dan Grzeca has built a reputation as one of the city’s most distinctive printmakers and illustrators. His work has appeared everywhere, from the stages of The Black Keys, Lollapalooza, and Smashing Pumpkins to the covers of Three Floyds Brewing and local favorites such as The Beer Temple and Hop Butcher for the World. With thousands of posters and illustrations to his name, Dan’s art is instantly recognizable for its bold energy and fearless creativity.
This season, Dan is bringing that same spirit to Rendezvous. He will be designing a limited-edition poster exclusively for Season 6, and you can be the very first to see it at our events. Even better, you’ll have the chance to purchase one and take a piece of the celebration home.
We cannot wait to unveil what Dan has created for us, and we know it will capture the spirit of Rendezvous in a way only he can!
With unwavering passion and boundless creativity, the devoted Board of Directors and staff at Rendezvous Arts lead the charge in fostering a harmonious community, nurturing emerging talent, and inspiring artistic excellence. We value diversity and inclusion. We do not and will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender identity, age, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status.
