Gorton CenterFriday night concert timeline / Concessions for sale, including beer & wine 7:00-8:15 PM Concert (no intermission) 8:15-8:45 PM Conversation with artists Back by popular demand, it’s our Woodwind Celebration!! This eight-member ensemble, featuring two oboes, two clarinets, two bassoons, and two French horns, will delight you with a program of works by Mozart, Prokofiev, and Krommer—plus a world premiere encore piece by composer Lee Kesselman! The joy and friendship exuded by these musicians when they perform together is palpable, and you’ll feel that energy as you enjoy their program.
Meet the Octet:
Oboe: Deb Stevenson & Jennet Ingle
Clarinet: Wagner Campos & Elizandro Garcia Montoya
Bassoon: Jonathan Saylor & John Gaudette (Fun fact: John was also a Rendezvous visual artist in our first season!)
French Horn: Anna Mayne & Dan O’Connell
On display alongside the concert will be breathtaking watercolors by award-winning artist Tony Armendariz. Specializing in portraits, often incorporating architectural elements, Tony describes himself as a contemporary realist painter. His intent is to display the soul and authentic self of his subjects in stunning works. They will truly leave you breathless!
