Join us for Gorton Drama Studio’s Production of Queen: We Will Rock You!

Weekday kids-and-groups-only show and optional acting workshop after the show

Get ready to rock with our electrifying performance of “Queen: We Will Rock You”! Immerse yourself in the iconic music of Queen as it sets the stage for an unforgettable theatrical experience. Guided by the expert direction of Madison Kisst, acclaimed for her success with productions like “The Wizard of Oz” and “Peter Pan Now,” our student cast brings the story to life with passion and energy. From the moment the curtain rises, you’ll be swept away by the dynamic performances, stunning choreography, and powerful vocals that pay homage to Queen’s timeless hits. Join us for an evening of pure entertainment as we rock you to your core with this high-energy production, the culmination of a three-week musical theater camp at Gorton Drama Studio. Don’t miss your chance to witness the magic of “Queen: We Will Rock You” live on stage!

From Audience to Actor, Begin Your Journey at Gorton:
Ages:
  • 7 to 17.
  • Kids under the age of 7 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Kids over the age of 7 must not!
  • All ages from camps, groups and organizations.

Dates:

  • August 6th at 11 am.
  • August 7th at 12:30 pm.
  • August 8th at 11 am.

Watch

  •  “Queen: We Will Rock You.” 
  • 1 hour.
  • Watch the electrifying performance of kid actors in “Queen: We Will Rock You.” directed by the acclaimed Madison Kisst. Experience dynamic performances, stunning choreography, and powerful vocals that bring Queen’s legendary music to life.

Participate 

  • Take an acting workshop.
  • 1 hour.
  • Participate in an hour-long acting workshop led by seasoned instructors. Engage in fun improv games and acting exercises designed for both newcomers and experienced actors. It’s a great opportunity to explore creativity, build confidence, and make new friends.
  • There are 30 spots available each day for the workshop. A second workshop will be added if the first one sells out.

Financial Assistance Available

Thanks to a generous grant , Gorton Drama Studio is offering financial relief to groups and organizations that wish to participate. This financial relief will come in the form of free or a reduced fee to participate in the afternoon or programming. About Our Artistic Director:

Jeremy Kruse, Artistic Director of Gorton Drama Studio is the author of “The Young Actor’s Handbook” (Applause Acting Series, 2017).The book was published in Korean and Chinese in 2022. Jeremy is a professional actor, published playwright, award-winning screenwriter, and award-winning filmmaker. Some of the classes he taught at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York include Method Acting, Comedic Improvisation, Sketch Comedy Writing, and Acting for Film and TV. He graduated from The Strasberg Institute at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts where he majored in drama. Jeremy also teaches privately, one on one  www.jeremykruse.com and www.jeremykruseactingtraining.com 

Director, Madison Kisst is an actor, director, and theatre teacher. She has taught for professional theater companies across the country and for the undergraduate acting program at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Madison has extensive training in physical and classical theatre, voice and movement, and devising. As an actor, some of her credits include: American Repertory Theater, Lyric Repertory Company, The Great American Melodrama and Vaudeville, Utah Shakespeare Festival, Idaho Shakespeare Festival, Nevada Conservatory Theater, and Santa Cruz Shakespeare. She has her BA in Theatre Arts and Master of Fine Arts in Performance.
