Guided by industry professionals Jeremy Kruse, author of The Young Actor’s Handbook, and renowned director Madison Kisst, celebrated for her acclaimed production of The Wizard of Oz and We Will Rock You, you’ll have the chance to learn from some of the best in the business. This camp welcomes all skill levels, so whether you’re an experienced performer or stepping onto the stage for the first time, you’ll find a supportive, creative environment that nurtures growth and collaboration.
Peter Pan Now, written by Jeremy Kruse, is an adaptation of J.M Barrie’s story, Peter Pan. This comedic and dramatic contemporary take on the original play was workshopped at Gorton Drama Studio in the winter of 2024 and will receive its premiere at the John and Nancy Hughes Theater this summer. The show includes original songs by Broadway’s Matt Mueller.
Campers will dive into daily classes covering acting, singing, dancing, and audition techniques, all designed to build the essentials of performance. Everyone will audition and be cast in Peter Pan Now. Rehearsals will be held throughout camp, culminating in four exciting performances, two of which will be attended by groups from local camps and community organizations, creating a vibrant and diverse audience.
Actors interested in building leadership skills will also have the unique opportunity to assist in leading some of the workshops, allowing them to share their expertise and passion with their fellow campers. After the final performance, celebrate your journey with an exclusive cast party alongside new friends.
Don’t miss this opportunity to bring the magic of Peter Pan to life on stage, develop your talents, and be part of a truly unforgettable experience! Enroll now to secure your spot in this summer’s premier theatrical adventure.
