Gorton CenterWho is your favorite character in “Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone?” Pick who you want to play and we will rehearse and film selected scenes from the movie. The fundamentals of Method acting are explored such as hitting a mark, enunciation and voice projection as well as more advanced acting principles such as developing a character, developing a relationship and creating real behavior. Four classes are rehearsals. The fifth class is a screening of our work in the Grotto Theater at Gorton. The focus of the class is on learning about acting, learning life skills and having fun. “It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live.”
This camp runs Monday, July 11 – Friday, July 15, 1 pm – 3 pm

Instructor Bio: Jeremy Kruse, Artistic Director of Gorton Drama Studio, is the author of “The Young Actor’s Handbook” (Applause Acting Series, 2017). Jeremy is a professional actor, published playwright, award-winning screenwriter, and award-winning filmmaker. Some of the classes he taught at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York include Method Acting, Comedic Improvisation, Sketch Comedy Writing, and Acting for Film and TV. He graduated from The Strasberg Institute at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts where he majored in drama.
