Gorton CenterGet ready for a joyful, hands-on art experience like no other! In this week-long summer camp, students will explore African Masks, the fiber art of Sheila Hicks, the whimsical style of Paul Klee, and the bold brushwork of Karl Appel. Through these themes, campers will connect with art from different cultures and time periods. This helps inspire creativity and broadens their understanding of artistic expression.
Led by dynamic teaching artists Lezlie Lenz and Carole Pearlman, the camp invites kids to paint, draw, doodle, and build using many materials. Each day offers playful creativity alongside thoughtful exploration. Students will create original artworks inspired by both master artists and contemporary trends.
Besides developing artistic skills, campers will build confidence and make new friends. They will express themselves in a supportive and joyful setting. Whether your child is a budding artist or just loves to create, this camp nurtures imagination and celebrates individuality.
Open to students entering grades 1–6
