HOLDAY ON BROADWAY

Celebrate the season through song, scene work, and performance in this festive musical theater production class. Students will rehearse and perform a holiday-themed musical revue featuring scenes, songs, and storytelling inspired by classic Christmas favorites, winter traditions, and beloved holiday musicals.

Performers will work on developing strong acting choices, vocal performance skills, stage presence, character development, and ensemble collaboration while preparing material for a fully rehearsed production. Possible selections may include songs from Elf the Musical, The Polar Express, A Charlie Brown Christmas, How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, White Christmas, and other seasonal favorites.

As a Level Three class, students are expected to take greater ownership of the rehearsal process and performance preparation. With 24 hours of rehearsal over six weeks, performers will tackle more challenging material, strengthen their performance technique, develop memorable characters, and work together to create a polished theatrical experience.

Class work includes scene study, vocal rehearsal, choreography, character development, and ensemble-building exercises, all focused on preparing a cohesive holiday production for an audience.

Performance: This class culminates in a fully staged performance for family and friends. Unlike a Level One Demonstration or Level Two Presentation, the Level Three Performance emphasizes sustained character work, storytelling, memorization, and a cohesive theatrical production. Scenes, songs, and choreography are rehearsed throughout the session and presented as a complete holiday-themed event.

Perfect for students who love performing and are ready for a more focused and rewarding production experience.
