Gorton Center – John & Nancy Hughes TheaterForks Over Knives examines the profound claim that most, if not all, of the chronic diseases that afflict us can be controlled or even reversed by rejecting animal-based and processed foods.
Director: Lee Fulkerson
Join us on October 26th for an inspiring evening in our John & Nancy Hughes Theater with Dr. Neal Barnard, President of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, along with Jane Esselstyn of the Esselstyn Family Foundation to learn about the nutritional power of eating a Whole Food Plant Based Diet and cooking strategies to help adopt this lifestyle. Guest chef Lee Kuebler of Elawa Farm Foundation will demo WFPB sauces and profile heirloom vegetables from our local farm.
Gorton Center houses the beautiful John and Nancy Hughes Theater featuring professional sound, light, video, and digital cinema technology. The 309-seat theater is a wonderful space to watch a film - we offer a wide variety - ranging from classics from the past to newer releases, documentary films and festivals, kids and family movies, and we screen John Hughes movies several times a year.
Gorton Center is a premier destination for outstanding cultural and performing arts experiences serving the residents of Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, and the surrounding region. As a proud nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, we are dedicated to enriching our community through an array of exceptional events and programs.
