Join us for Gorton’s third annual Cornhole Tournament! We will have food trucks, drinks, live music, a round-robin, leaderboard, raffles and a chance to win throwing prizes! This year we’ve added a kids court with shorter throwing distance. Come throw or spectate, eat, drink and enjoy gathering in the heart of the community for some summer fun! TWO DIVISIONS:

• Competitive (adults and 16 and over)
• Family/kids (smaller court)

THE DETAILS:

• Absolutley NO professionals!
• Ages 10 and up (this year we have a special family/kids section)
• Team consists of 2 players
• Standard ($60) team of 2 players, t-shirts, and two free drink tickets
• All teams guaranteed 3 games, round-robin style tournament with prizes
• Leader Board
• Check-In: 3:45 – 4:20 pm
• Announcements & Rules- 4:20 pm
• Play starts 4:30 pm SHARP
• Championship game 7 pm

We will fill the open spots on a first come first serve basis. Please come to the Registration/Check-in table no later than 3:45 to inquire about openings. Rain or shine-event moves indoors if inclement weather.

Gorton welcomes Railheart for this year’s Cornhole festivities

Railheart is a Rock’n Roll Rhythm & Blues Bayou Funk’n Soul Band with a Cosmic Country twist Led by Multi Instrumentalist Noah Plotkin. The band covers deep cuts from the 70s Rock, Bayou Funk, Delta Blues & Cosmic Country Era’s. Raiheart is comprised of a collective of musicians who both together and separate have opened & played along with Joe Walsh, Melvin Seals, The Wallflowers & Vetiver to name a few. On April 25th 2019 the band backed up the Legendary Terry Reid for a four hour Sold Out Show Live at Space in Evanston. Railheart also has a showcase called “Steel Your Face” where they cover deep tracks by the Grateful Dead & Grateful Dawg!
