The Kindermusik curriculum blends music, movement, pretend play, storytelling, and community building. Each element works together to create a rich and engaging experience for your child. Every class helps children listen closely, reflect on what they hear, and compare sounds and ideas. They learn to make choices, express opinions, and solve simple problems. These skills build confidence and encourage curiosity.

At the same time, children explore the fundamentals of music. They begin to understand rhythm, melody, and dynamics through playful activities. With every song and game, their imaginations grow. Each activity supports both creativity and cognitive development. Plus, children have fun while learning essential life skills.

Social interaction is also a key part of the experience. Children connect with their peers through shared songs, partner dances, and group games. This helps them build communication skills and learn the value of cooperation. The classroom becomes a safe and joyful place to explore their world.

Grown-ups play an important role too. At the start and end of class, we invite caregivers to join in. This builds a sense of routine and comfort. Adults also stay nearby for bathroom breaks and support as needed. Your presence matters – it helps children feel secure and supported.

Kindermusik’s curriculum is backed by decades of research. Since 1978, only accredited early childhood educators have taught our classes. That means your child is learning from highly trained professionals who understand how young children grow.

Every month brings a brand-new theme, so the experience stays fresh and exciting. Along with in-class activities, families get access to a user-friendly app and digital learning tools. These materials let you continue the fun and learning at home.

Gorton offers financial assistance and flexible payment options to individuals who may be unable to afford standard program fees. This support ensures that everyone has the opportunity to participate in meaningful learning and cultural enrichment experiences. Applications are reviewed based on demonstrated financial need.

Gorton Center will take and may use photos and videos from this event for its promotional purposes. Your attendance indicates your consent to the above.

Refunds will only be given up to one week prior to the first week of class of any session. (The refund period for some classes, which require advanced reservations or purchase of materials, may be more limited.) Cancellations will incur a $5 handling fee for programs costing under $100 and a 10% handling fee for programs with fees of $100 or more. If a class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, you will be notified, and a full refund will be given.

If this class does not meet the minimum participation requirement, you will be notified of the cancellation within one week of the start date.
