Join us for a transformative workshop that delves into the rich philosophy, principles, and internal practices of Tai Chi. Whether you’re new to Tai Chi or looking to deepen your understanding, this immersive experience offers a balanced combination of theory and practice.
What You’ll Explore in the Tai Chi Workshop:
Tai Chi Philosophy & The 10 Essential Principles: Gain insight into the foundational philosophy of Tai Chi, rooted in Taoist thought and the harmony of yin and yang. Learn the 10 essential principles that guide every movement, cultivating internal awareness, balance, and energy flow.
Internal Depth & Energy Awareness: Go beyond the physical movements to discover the internal mechanics of Tai Chi, including the cultivation of “Qi” (vital energy), the use of intention (Yi), and the connection between body, mind, and breath.
Gentle Warm-ups & Joint Loosening Exercises: Prepare your body with mindful warm-ups designed to release tension, increase flexibility, and activate energy channels throughout the body.
Qigong Breathing Techniques: Experience traditional Qigong (energy work) practices that focus on breath regulation, posture, and intention to enhance vitality, calm the mind, and build internal strength.
Tai Chi Forms & Practical Applications: Learn key Tai Chi movements from the form, with an emphasis on posture, flow, and relaxation. Explore how these movements translate into practical applications for balance, coordination, and self-defense.
Push Hands (Tui Shou) Exercises: Engage in partnered drills that develop sensitivity, rootedness, and the ability to respond with softness and clarity. Push hands cultivates listening skills and helps refine your understanding of Tai Chi principles in motion.
Guided Meditation & Stillness Practices: Conclude with calming meditation sessions to integrate the day’s practice, center the mind, and nourish inner peace.
The Tai Chi workshop is open to all levels and is ideal for anyone interested in improving their physical health, mental clarity, and overall well-being through the art of Tai Chi.
