RENT THE STUART COMMUNITY ROOM
The Stuart Community Room is beautifully appointed with soaring trayed ceilings, marble surround fireplace, gracious drapes, and hardwood floors. A large foyer offers entrance to the Stuart Room, Nagel Family Room, and kitchen for event catering. It is the perfect location for lectures, meetings, weddings, parties, and more. The Stuart Community Room is equipped with two (2) projectors and screens, in addition to mounted music and program speakers.
We’re starting some exciting renovations this August, and the Stuart Room will be unavailable through November while that work is underway. Our other spaces remain available, and we’re excited to help make your event a success. To learn more about rates and availability, please contact Event Coordinators Monica Yaun, monica@gortoncenter.org, Martha ReQua, martha@gortoncenter.org, or contact the office at 847.234.6060.

A Hearing Loop assistive listening system is installed in the Stuart Community Room thanks to a gift from Dr. Linda Remensnyder, AuD.
Hearing Loops allow people who wear hearing aids to directly receive the sound from a PA system in their own hearing aids. To hear better, you will no longer have to pick up a separate listening device.
If you wear hearing instruments you will need to find out if they have a built-in wireless receiver, called a T-coil or Telecoil, built in, to benefit from the hearing loop in our theater. The T-coil program is accessed by pushing a button on your hearing aid. This T-coil setting has to be activated before use. Please consult your audiologist to ensure your t-coils are properly adjusted.

WHAT'S NEW

Why Dancing Is Good for You: Body, Brain, and Beyond
You don’t have to be a trained dancer to reap the benefits of hitting the dance floor. Whether you’re salsa-stepping in a community class, kicking through a line dance, or just letting loose at a ladies’ night out, dancing is one of the most enjoyable – and most effective – forms of exercise available. And the science backs it up.

Gorton Welcomes New Interns This Fall
We're proud to welcome two new interns to our team this year through Cristo Rey St. Martin College Prep High School's Corporate Work Study Program.
