Mountainfilm on Tour: Held each year on the last weekend of January, Mountainfilm on Tour is one of the highlights of our cinematic year. In 2022, the festival will take place on January 28th and 29th. Mountainfilm travels year-round and worldwide with a selection of current and best-loved films from the annual festival in Telluride. This year’s program features a full-length award-winning film After Antarctica, a series of Family-Friendly short films, the ecologically-focused and exhilarating Adventure Shorts, and the much anticipated Mountainfilm Medley of the festival’s finest films.

The exciting opening night feature film of Mountainfilm 2022, After Antarctica, tells the story of how lifelong explorer Will Steger and five other men set out on a seven-month-long expedition to traverse 4,000 miles across the continent of Antarctica. Together, they were six men from six different countries on a mission to defend and protect Antarctica from the exploitation it faced.
The Mountainfilm: Family Friendly Shorts program offers a selection of exciting short films that are suitable for all ages.The program offers an eclectic mix of films about extreme sports, nature, and animals. Bring the whole family along for a memorable experience.
The Mountainfilm: Adventure Shorts program provides an eclectic mix of stories about appreciating the natural world and competing in extreme sport. Like any great adventure, the program has its share of grueling climbs and breathtaking descents, as well as more contemplative moments that focus on the beauty of the wild. It’s a program that’s sure to bring out the nature lover and thrill seeker in all of us.
Mountainfilm: The Medley is the film program that you’ve been waiting for all year! Mountainfilm’s most exciting stories of hiking, biking, climbing, fishing, skiing, snowboarding, and skating all in one program! An eclectic and classic film program, The Medley has plenty of big laughs, big jumps, and big friendships.
