“The Way of the Rain – Hope for Earth – A Symphony for our Planet” film captures the live performance presented by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, 120 members of its youth choir and was conducted by Julian Benichou at the beautiful Morton H Meyerson Symphony Hall in Dallas Texas on October 22, 2022.

It is a powerful Symphony composed by my collaborator Tim Janis, the Mother Earth Film footage as background created by Thomas McBee, Alexandra Razskazoff as our Mother Earth soloist – with a meaningful spoken word of conscience live on stage by Robert Redford .

The film you are about to see tells the artistic story of the formation of the Universe, the evolution of all galaxies and eventually the birth of the unique and beautiful Planet Earth with all its elements.

It shows the beauty of this masterpiece we call Earth, but also points out the challenges, threats and abuse this planet is going through.

We end our love story with Hope – because once you choose Hope anything is possible ……….

The outstanding editing of this film lets you become part of the exceptional experience that evening at the Morton H Meyerson Symphony Hall and you will feel embraced by our Love Letter to Earth and its message!

My heartfelt gratitude goes out to Trammell S. Crow, Founder of Earth X who made both – the live staged performance and the filming of The Way of the Rain – Hope for Earth – A Symphony for our Planet at the Morton H Meyerson Symphony Hall possible!

Enjoy the Film and I Hope you will be inspired…

Sibylle Szaggars Redford

Founder, President & Artistic Director – The Way of the Rain, Inc.

The Way of the Rain was inspired by the annual monsoon rains that sustain life on the fragile landscape of the high desert plateaus of the Southwest. This live multidisciplinary performance, narrated by actor and environmental activist Robert Redford, invites the audience to remember their physical and spiritual connection to our planet’s beauty and plight through paintings, music, dance, film, light and spoken word. Conceived by environmental-artist Sibylle Szaggars Redford to explore the issue of climate change resulting in rapidly changing weather patterns, Sibylle Redford collaborates with world renowned artists to create a piece that illustrates crucial environmental dilemmas through performance art.
