Join us for an evening of thought-provoking exploration into one of today’s most urgent environmental and ethical questions: Do natural resources have rights?

The event begins with a complimentary pre-show reception featuring wine, sparkling water, a curated cheese board, and free popcorn as you head into our theater. Then, we’ll screen the powerful documentary Bad River, a film that delves into the controversial Line 5 pipeline and its looming threat to the pristine waters of Lake Superior and the surrounding lands of Minnesota. The film sheds light on the potential displacement of Indigenous communities and the broader implications for environmental justice.

Following the film, stay for an engaging panel discussion featuring voices from environmental law, advocacy, and local environmental alliances. Our expert panel will offer unique perspectives on the legal, social, and ecological dimensions of recognizing rights for natural resources and what this could mean for the future of our land and water.

Reserve Your Spot Today and join us for an evening of learning, connection, and action for our planet.

Schedule:

  • 6:00–7:00 PM: Complimentary Pre-Show Reception
  • 7:00–8:45 PM: Screening of Bad River (Run Time: 1:38)
  • 8:45–9:15 PM: Panel Discussion
