SUMMARY:
The Concessions Attendant – Bartender is responsible for maintaining operations and assisting patrons at the Gorton Center. This position assists in setting the example and ensuring the highest level of guest experience in concessions/bartending and reports to the Hospitality Coordinator.

Responsibilities:

Set up and breakdown all areas including bar, food, popcorn, counting money, follow up with Hospitality Coordinator before leaving shift.

Sell candy, soda, water, alcohol and popcorn for events & films as needed.

Point of sales including taking orders, ringing sales into register, collecting money and giving correct change to patrons.

Check identification for age-restricted items, such as alcoholic beverages.

Greeting and assisting patrons in a friendly, professional manner.

Keeping the assigned area clean, sanitary, and safe.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

· Qualified candidate will be mature, responsible, dependable individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment

· General math skills to conduct financial transactions (i.e. operate cash register and count back change)

· Good communication and comprehension skills when taking orders and interacting

· Available to work a variety of hours on weekdays and weekends as needed

· Must be able to multi-task and be self-motivated

· Must be 21 years of age

· Must be able to lift 50 lbs

· Illinois Basset Alcohol Certification will be reimbursed (time and certification fee) by Gorton
