DESCRIPTION:Concert Opera of Greater Chicago Presents……\nItalian Opera Gala \n  \nJoin us for an afternoon concert of Italian arias\, duets and ensembles by Rossini\, Donizetti\, Ponchielli and Verdi…with music from La Favorita\, La Gioconda\, L’Italiana in Algeri\,  Ernani\, Attila\, Don Carlo and more. Accompaniment by Maestro Anatoliy Torchinskiy on piano.  There will be English supertitles for this event.\nOur special guests are Baritone Thomas Hall of the Metropolitan Opera and Bass David Govertsen of the Lyric Opera of Chicago.\nOther featured singers are: Soprano Mary Govertsen\, Soprano Kate Uyeno\, Mezzo-Soprano Annie Bennett\, Mezzo-Soprano Paula Schaefgen\, Tenor Benjamin Millar\, Baritone Josh Poucher and Bass Alvaro Ramirez.\nConcert Opera of Greater Chicago is a 501(c)(3) opera company which was founded in 2020 by our Artistic Director\, Alvaro Ramirez.  Our Mission is to provide outstanding classical vocalists with opportunities to perform complete roles; to present operas in their original language in fully-staged or concert performances with piano and/or chamber orchestra and to bring operatic performances to diverse audiences in the Greater Chicago area. \nFor more information\, please visit our website at www.chicagoconcertopera.com\nTickets: $25.  To purchase tickets for this event\, please visit:    concert-opera-of-greater-chicago.ticketleap.com/italian-opera-gala/\nTickets will be sold at the door for all last minute walk-ins.
