SUMMARY:Summer Early Focus Educational Camp
DESCRIPTION:This program builds on children’s learning during the school year.  We are providing a highly engaging and child-driven educational program.  Two certified teachers will offer academic support to prevent summer learning loss while providing other opportunities for growth and exploration. There will be daily educational small group activities that incorporate reading\, math and science aligned with the district’s curriculum. \nThis camp runs Monday\, June 19 – Friday\, June 23\, 10:00am – 12:00pm \nAges: Entering Kindergarten – 2nd Grade \nINSTRUCTORS: \nJillian Floriani has an MAT in Early Childhood Education from National-Louis University. She is currently the Director of Early Childhood Programs at The Winter Club of Lake Forest and has over 15 years of experience as an educator in both private and public settings.   \nVeronica DeNicolo has an MAT in Elementary Education and an MA in Educational Leadership. She is currently a substitute teacher in the local schools and has over 15 years of experience as an educator.

I am a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) and studied health coaching and nutrition sciences through the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute and Stanford Center for Health Education.  In addition\, I worked for over two years coaching members at WW (Weight Watchers). As a health coach\, I help clients achieve self-determined goals\, provide trusted science-based information\, help clients make a plan to achieve their goals\, and maintain motivation. Welcome Wellness is my opportunity to share and welcome good health into the lives of my clients.  \n

DESCRIPTION:GORTON LUNCH BUNCH\n*Scroll down to purchase daily lunches throughout the week* \nYOU MUST PRE-REGISTER \nJoin us for lunch!  Gorton has customizable camps that run both in the morning and afternoon\, so sign your child up for camp at Gorton Center and we will supervise lunchtime\, making it a full-day camp option! \nCampers will be supervised for an hour or hour and a half (depending on the camp) between morning and afternoon camps from 12pm – 1pm/1:30pm. The slow\, graceful and precise body movements can enhance the strength of body and clarity of mind. Join Ken Ning and learn the flowing movements of Tai Chi.\nSaturdays 11:00am – 12:00pm \nKen has been practicing martial arts for 27 years\, and started Tai Chi training in 1996 with Sifu Dale Washington\, Sifu Ban Toy in 2000 and Grand Master Yang Jun in 2006. He has been practicing Tai Chi for 21 years and teaching Tai Chi for 12 years. In 2016\, he received a Gold Eagle certificate from Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan Association. certificate. Ken is also one of Grand Master Yang Jun’s Disciples for the Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan. He teaches Kickboxing and Full-contact Martial Arts teacher and is certified by Ng Family Martial Arts Association.
