SUMMARY:Sewing Camp: Christmas in July
DESCRIPTION:Camp registration opens on Monday\, February 2 at 10 am\nCelebrate the magic of the holidays—summer style! In our Christmas in July Sewing Camp\, kids will enjoy a festive week of creativity while learning valuable sewing skills in a fun\, age-appropriate environment. Campers will sew holiday inspired projects including: holiday stockings\, christmas tree pillows\, cozy winter accessories\, and a cheerful holiday themed table runner. Along the way\, they’ll build confidence with the sewing machine & will be able to personalize each project to make it uniquely their own.This camp will be led by Ciao Bella Sewing. All supplies\, including fabric\, sewing machines\, and sewing notions are provided. It is SEW much fun to sew and create. \nStudents can bring their own sewing machine or use the provided sewing machines. Students should bring a water bottle and healthy snack everyday. *New and returning students are welcome! \nAges 7 – 13 YO

DESCRIPTION:Join Gorton Center’s Lunch Bunch!\nLooking to give your child a full day of summer fun\, learning\, and creativity? Gorton Center’s customizable camps offer the perfect solution for busy families and curious kids! With engaging camp sessions available in both the morning and afternoon\, you can mix and match programs to fit your child’s interests and create a dynamic full-day experience. \nTo make things even easier\, Gorton offers a supervised lunchtime option for campers attending both a morning and afternoon session. Our friendly and attentive staff will oversee campers during lunch from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM (or until 1:30 PM\, depending on the camp schedule)\, providing a safe and relaxed environment where kids can unwind\, eat\, and socialize with friends between activities. This convenient lunchtime care is available for just $20 per week. \nPlease note that lunch is not provided. Campers must bring their own sack lunch and drink each day.  \nImportant Registration Information:\nYou must pre-register for all camps and lunchtime supervision. Registration closes the Friday before the camp week begins (each Monday)\, so don’t wait to reserve your child’s spot! SUMMARY:Turning Teen: Body Basics for Boys
DESCRIPTION:Boys can grow so fast\, it can take your breath away. Or their growth can proceed more slowly\, confusing or even frustrating them. Talking to our boys about puberty is hard to do\, for both mothers and fathers. But supportive conversations are vital to them—even when they seem like they don’t want or need to talk. We can help. \nLearn about male anatomy\, puberty\, body changes\, emotions\, and more! Turning Teen offers interactive pediatrician-developed educational workshops that are fun\, modern\, and medically accurate! \nFor boys 10+ (who haven’t started puberty yet or are in the early stages) and their parent/trusted adult \nTurning Teen\, founded by Dr. Lisa Klein and Dr. Carrie Leff\, helps families talk openly about puberty\, bodies\, and sex. Our programs\, led by medical and mental health professionals\, provide accurate\, age-appropriate information to make these conversations more comfortable for kids and their caregivers.   \nDr. Jessica Reggi is Chicagoland’s Turning Teen board-certified pediatrician. She practiced clinical pediatrics throughout Chicago for about eight years before transitioning to nonprofit leadership. She is passionate about the intersection of health and education and has facilitated trainings about vaccines\, vaping\, and more for school districts\, community organizations\, and health champions across the country.
