SUMMARY:Everything Can Be Art with Vee Gunn
DESCRIPTION:What if a chipped teacup\, a ribbon\, an old shirt and a handful of beads could become something wonderful? At our after-school club\, that’s exactly the idea we play with:\, everything can be art — and art can be everything. \nEach week\, children explore a world of mixed-media materials — up-cycled clothing and fabrics\, pre-loved crockery\, beads\, buttons\, ribbons and more — transforming unexpected materials into artworks and keepsakes they’re proud of. Every session begins with a friendly guided lesson so no one ever feels stuck\, then opens up into plenty of room to experiment\, make choices\, and follow their own imagination. There’s no single “right” way to do it\, and that’s the whole point. \nOur club is built around a relaxed\, encouraging atmosphere where mess is welcome and every idea is a good one. Along the way\, children build real confidence — not just in making things\, but in trusting their own creativity — and they start to see the world a little differently\, spotting possibility and beauty in the most unexpected\, everyday objects. \nIt’s creative\, it’s hands-on\, it’s a little bit magical — and it gently plants big ideas about imagination\, resourcefulness and looking after our planet by giving old things new life. Your child will leave each week with something they made themselves\, and a growing belief that they are an artist. \nNo experience needed. No pressure to be “good.” Just bring curiosity — we’ll supply the rest. \nAges 7 – 13

Mornings are about breaking free from flat\, basic artwork on paper and making pictures that truly come alive. We explore layering techniques that give canvases and drawings real depth\, texture and dimension — building up surfaces\, adding raised and mixed-media elements\, and learning how to lead the eye and shift focus so a piece has movement and a sense of place. \nAfternoons: The Creativity Hack. Afternoons are where we dive into how art actually works. We explore how something might look or be drawn\, and the clever\, playful “hacks” artists use to get the same striking effects — the shortcuts\, tricks and techniques that make a picture come alive. We experiment with abstract art techniques\, discover different ways to capture and reimagine what we see\, and pick up real skills that children can build on and carry into everything they make. \nAges 7 – 13
