Just laughs\, music\, and movement. \nThen\, the real fun begins. We’ll groove through country classics. We’ll jam to high-energy pop hits. These are the dances you’ll see at weddings\, parties\, and dance halls all over. And now\, you’ll know them too. \nCome solo. Come with friends. Either way\, you’ll walk out smiling\, sweaty\, and ready to show off your new moves. \nSo grab your boots\, grab your crew\, and let’s do some line dancing! \nLesley has been dancing her whole life. She’s been classically trained in Ballet and Jazz. She’s been teaching dance for 40 years. She currently works at Lake Forest Health and Fitness and Life Time Fitness in Vernon Hills. Each week\, you and your child will explore a variety of fun activities that spark imagination and build essential early childhood skills. \nFirst\, you’ll move to the beat with lively songs\, joyful dances\, and simple instrument play. From shaking shakers to tapping drums\, your toddler will experience music in exciting\, hands-on ways. As they sing along\, they’ll also strengthen early language and listening skills. \nNext\, through guided group activities\, your child will practice sharing\, taking turns\, and following simple directions. From your baby’s very first giggle to the wide-eyed anticipation of the next bounce\, tickle\, or snuggle\, this class is designed to engage both you and your little one in meaningful\, musical fun. \nEach week\, you and your baby – whether they’re brand new or already taking first steps – will move together through a carefully crafted mix of singing\, dancing\, instrument play\, and sensory exploration. We begin by welcoming everyone with cheerful songs and gentle movement\, helping babies settle in and get excited for what’s to come. His joyful planxties – written as tributes to patrons and friends – are filled with warmth and wit\, the kind of tunes that once held up weddings and funerals until he could arrive to play. \nJoining us for this holiday celebration are Katie Grennan on fiddle\, John Williams on accordion\, harpist Lauren Hayes\, singer Nora Byrd\, and guitarist-fiddler Liam Kantor. Together\, they’ll share O’Carolan’s music alongside festive melodies of the season\, blending toe-tapping dance rhythms with moments of quiet reflection. It’s the sound of Ireland at Christmastime: full of heart\, tradition\, and joy. \nMary Foster – Visual Artist\nArtist Mary Foster completes the evening with her striking paintings and woodcuts\, inspired by the hidden geometry and bold colors of the natural world.
