SUMMARY:Salsarobics
DESCRIPTION:Join Esther Gutierrez Sloan every Friday for a dynamic workout that blends fun\, rhythm\, and full-body movement. This class isn’t just about exercise – it’s about joy\, discovery\, and the thrill of dance! \nThroughout the session\, participants choose their intensity level – low\, moderate\, or high – while moving to irresistible Latin\, Caribbean\, Spanish\, and African beats. Options for both low-impact and high-impact movements allow everyone to customize their experience. \nEach class delivers an energizing workout that averages 4\,000 to 4\,200 steps\, with varying degrees of intensity. Esther integrates the Total Body Training (TBT) Systems Methodology to support proper posture and promote muscle conditioning. She also incorporates Peripheral Heart Action (PHA) Training\, offering an optional challenge that builds aerobic strength based on individual pace and rhythm. \nTo build coordination and balance\, the class includes inline motion drills. Participants move across the room using steps that change direction – laterally\, diagonally\, forward\, and backward – adding functional movement to the workout. \nThe session concludes with Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) stretching to enhance flexibility and recovery. \nColombian-born Esther Gutierrez Sloan created SALSArobics in 1989 to fuse authentic Latin rhythms with aerobic exercise. She has performed on national and local television in Illinois\, California\, Florida\, and New York. In addition to leading classes\, she has presented SALSArobics at fitness conventions\, schools\, health clubs\, ethnic festivals\, and international events. \nIn recognition of her groundbreaking work\, Esther was inducted into the National Fitness Hall of Fame in 2010. Learn more about Esther and SALSArobics. \nFind out why dancing is so good for you in our newest blog.

SUMMARY:Going Analogue: Lost Art of Journaling
DESCRIPTION:Going Analogue: Rediscover the Lost Art of Journaling\nIn a world that never stops buzzing\, beeping\, and scrolling\, what happens when you put down your phone and pick up a pen? \nGoing Analogue is a one-hour workshop for young people who want a break from the noise of digital life. Step away from the screen and discover something quieter\, more personal\, and surprisingly powerful. \nChristine Witt leads this interactive session. She is a wellness advocate\, mental health champion\, and founder of PurposeFull Goods. Christine invites participants to slow down\, tune in\, and reconnect with the voice that matters most—their own. \nStart with a grounding meditation. Then\, explore your thoughts through a guided journaling exercise. Practice being fully present without digital distractions. Discover how a simple journaling ritual can support your well-being long after the workshop ends. \nNo followers. No notifications. Just you\, a journal\, and a little space to breathe. \nTwo age-specific sessions:\n\nAges 10–13 (4 – 5pm) — An introduction to big feelings\, presence\, and the magic of putting thoughts on paper\nAges 14–18 (5:30 – 6:30pm) — A deeper dive into self-reflection\, identity\, and bridging the gap between who you are and who you want to be\n\nWhat to expect:\n\nA calming guided meditation to open the session\nStructured journaling prompts tailored to your age group\nA judgment-free space to reflect\, reset\, and just be\nTools to take home and build your own analogue ritual (pick your journal cover ahead of time!)\n\nNo experience necessary. Through PurposeFull Goods and her work as a community advocate\, she creates space for people to reconnect with themselves with curiosity\, compassion\, and a little bit of joy. \nhttps://purposefullgoods.com

SUMMARY:Everything Can Be Art with Vee Gunn
DESCRIPTION:Each week\, children discover a world of mixed-media materials. They’ll work with upcycled clothing and fabrics\, pre-loved crockery\, beads\, buttons\, ribbons\, and more. Then\, they’ll transform these unexpected materials into artworks and keepsakes they’re proud of. \nTo begin\, every session includes a friendly\, guided lesson. That way\, no one ever feels stuck. After that\, there’s plenty of room to experiment\, make choices\, and follow their imagination. There’s no single “right” way to create – and that’s the whole point. \nMost importantly\, our club is relaxed and encouraging. Mess is welcome\, and every idea is worth exploring. Along the way\, children build real confidence. They learn not only how to make things\, but also how to trust their own creativity. \nAs a result\, they begin to see the world a little differently. Suddenly\, an everyday object can be full of possibility. Something old or forgotten can become something beautiful and new. \nIt’s creative\, hands-on\, and a little bit magical. At the same time\, it introduces big ideas about imagination\, resourcefulness\, and caring for our planet. By giving old things new life\, children discover just how much can be created from what we already have. \nEach week\, your child will leave with something they made themselves. Even better\, they’ll leave with a growing belief that they are an artist. \nNo experience needed. No pressure to be “good.” Just bring curiosity – we’ll supply the rest. \nAges 7 – 13
