DESCRIPTION:Chicago Summer Stories: A Video Storytelling Camp for Ages 11–14Discover the Power of Storytelling Using Just an iPhone\nGet ready for a summer where creativity meets technology and storytelling comes to life! Chicago Summer Stories is a unique media camp designed for middle school students. They’ll explore the exciting world of video production using a tool they already have—their iPhones. \nThis hands-on\, immersive camp walks students through every stage of video storytelling. From brainstorming ideas and writing scripts to filming and editing\, campers dive into the creative process from day one. They’ll work in small teams\, experiment with camera techniques\, and learn to tell powerful stories using their own voice and vision. \nWhat sets this camp apart is its focus on mentorship and collaboration. High school students from the LFHS New Media program and middle school media teachers help lead the way. SUMMARY:Adventures' Guild Tabletop Game Group (Teens)
DESCRIPTION:Answer the call to adventure! In the Adventurers’ Guild we will defeat monsters and dragons\, explore dungeons\, and acquire powerful artifacts without ever leaving Gorton. Players will create their own heroes and collaborate to build a world of magic and wonder. Players will learn the Old School Essentials game system – an easy to learn system based off of Dungeons & Dragons – for a classic tabletop gaming experience. For each gaming session\, players will sit for 2 hours at a table and share the spotlight with others to create the story collaboratively. \nAges 14 – 18 years \nGraham Henderson is the founder of Attune Arts\, which provides adaptive arts and recreation – combining creativity with collaborative play. With a background in communication support and a lifelong love of tabletop games\, Graham creates Tabletop Roleplaying Game sessions that are easy going\, inclusive\, and designed to help teens feel confident jumping into the adventure.

DESCRIPTION:Are you or someone you know contemplating a divorce?  This workshop will help you to understand the best options for you and your family. If a couple can communicate and be fair and reasonable\, divorce mediation is a path that allows a couple to make 100% of their own decisions about parenting\, financial and property divisions\, child support and alimony\, while allowing them to greatly minimize the negative impact of their divorce on their most valuable assets\, their children. \nMediation is also the least costly and quickest way to get through a divorce in a less stressful manner.  In this session\, you will learn about divorce mediation\, what it is\, how it works\, what it requires\, and why it is the healthiest and least expensive way to divorce. \nIf you cannot attend in person\, you can contact Michael Cohen through his website at michaelsmediation.com to meet 1:1 to review this same information in a confidential manner. \nMichael Cohen is a divorce mediator in Lake Forest who is dedicated to helping families get through the stressful process of a divorce in the healthiest way for the couple and for their children. SUMMARY:Turning Teen: Body Basics for Girls
DESCRIPTION:Turning Teen is here for #GirlMoms\, #GirlDads\, and any other trusted adult in a young person’s life. We know it can be hard to talk with a girl about puberty. Or sexual or mental health. And other issues relating to her body. After all\, many of our parents found it hard\, too. Some of us never learned how to discuss – without secrecy\, embarrassment\, or worse\, shame – what it means to turn into a teen. \nWe can fix that. Turning Teen has the support and guidance you need. Interactive classes and workshops\, offered in person or online\, provide age-appropriate\, medically accurate information in an engaging and fun setting. \nIn this workshop\, you will learn about female anatomy\, puberty\, body changes\, body safety\, and more! Turning Teen offers interactive pediatrician-developed educational workshops that are fun\, modern\, and medically accurate! \nFor girls 8+ (who haven’t started puberty yet or are in the early stages) and their parent/trusted adult. \nTurning Teen\, founded by Dr. Lisa Klein and Dr. Carrie Leff\, helps families talk openly about puberty\, bodies\, and sex. Our programs\, led by medical and mental health professionals\, provide accurate\, age-appropriate information to make these conversations more comfortable for kids and their caregivers.   \nDr. Jessica Reggi is Chicagoland’s Turning Teen board-certified pediatrician. She practiced clinical pediatrics throughout Chicago for about eight years before transitioning to nonprofit leadership. She is passionate about the intersection of health and education and has facilitated trainings about vaccines\, vaping\, and more for school districts\, community organizations\, and health champions across the country.

The word Rei means “universal life\,” and Ki means “energy\,” so Reiki literally translates to Universal Life Force Energy. \nThis holistic practice is based on the belief that all living things are sustained by a vital life force. When this energy flows freely\, the body can maintain health and balance.
