All supplies\, including fabric\, sewing machines\, and sewing notions are provided. \nIt is SEW much fun to sew and create. Students can bring their own sewing machine or use the provided sewing machines. Students should bring a water bottle and healthy snack everyday. New and returning students are welcome! Ages 8 – 15 \nLearning to sew has many benefits: \n\nSewing allows children to explore their creativity and express themselves through fabric\, colors\, and design choices. They can bring their own ideas to life and create unique garments or crafts that reflect their individuality.\nSewing teaches practical skills that they can use throughout life like learning to sew on buttons\, mending garments\, or even creating their own clothing fosters independence and self-sufficiency.\nFollowing patterns\, measuring\, and making precise cuts and stitches develop fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination as well as problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.\nSewing can be a calming and therapeutic activity. The focus and concentration required during sewing can help children relax\, reduce stress\, and improve their overall well-being. It allows them to immerse themselves in a creative process and enjoy a sense of accomplishment when they complete a project.
