DESCRIPTION:The Fitzpatrick School of Irish Dance is partnering with the Chicago Gaelic Athletic Association to bring this new Irish Sports Camp to Lake Forest! Campers will spend each day learning skills and drills for Gaelic football and hurling from a staff of qualified coaches from Ireland. Sports will be held outdoors and dancing indoors. No experience necessary. \nAges: 5 & Up! \nDates: 4:00pm – 6:00pm pm on Tuesdays (June 6\, 13\, 20\, 27) and/or Thursdays (June 8\, 15\, 22\, 29). \nFees: Campers have the option of attending once a week (4 classes) for $125 or twice a week (8 classes) for $250.

DESCRIPTION:THIS CAMP HAS SOLD OUT!  PLEASE CONTACT LIBBY JOHNSON TO BE ADDED TO THE WAIT LIST – Libby@nullgortoncenter.org\nThe New Media Summer Stories Experience is a unique opportunity for High School students to learn the video storytelling process from ideation to on set shooting to editing. The unique challenge is the shooting and editing happens all in 72 hours. The ideation\, writing and pre-production happens over the 10 weeks prior. Students get to collaborate and create together with support from professionals in the field through the High School Media Collective and local alums. \nThis camp runs Wednesday\, June 14 – Friday\, June 16\, 9am – 9pm based on the production roles and schedule.  There will be a launch day for ideation on Wednesday\, April 26th 7pm – 9pm \nAges: 14 – 18 Years Old \n \nNew Media Summer Stories is in its second year as an opportunity for students to spend dedicated time working collaboratively with peers who love the filmmaking process.  They create a meaningful short film based on the criteria for the All American High School Film Festival’s Complete Experience. Each participant will have a role in Pre-Production\, Production and Post-Production based on interest and experience. Pre-Production will start 10 weeks before the Production start day when the Prompt and rules will be provided and shared with participants. A writing team will be created and a Producer and Director will be selected based on experience and vision for the prompt. Departments will be created for each phase (Pre-Production: Scouting (Locations\, Talent) Writing\, Camera) Production (Camera\, Sound\, Lighting) and Post-Production (Assistant Editor\, Lead Editor\, Sound\, Color Correction).

DESCRIPTION:Acting\, filmmaking and a performance in the Lake Bluff 4th of July Parade.\nTake on the role of Ferris\, Cameron\, Sloan\, Jeanie or Mr. Rooney – or any character of your choice. The basics of acting such as hitting a mark\, enunciation and voice projection as well as more advanced acting principles such as developing a character\, developing a relationship and creating real behavior are explored. You will do acting exercises\, character work\, improvisations and selected scenes from the story. \nClasses are held in our intimate black box theater\, our 309 seat state-of-art theater – The John and Nancy Hughes Theater – and on our new Film and TV Sound Stage. In addition to acting skills\, students will learn how to write\, shoot and edit short films – films inspired by “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.” Students will also help decorate a Ferris Bueller-themed parade float. A choreographed song and dance number will be rehearsed during camp and performed during the Lake Bluff 4th of July parade. “Bueller? Bueller?
