SUMMARY:LF Civic Orchestra Presents Voices of Spring
DESCRIPTION:The LFCO looks forward to spring! Two spring-time gardens are depicted to open our program. Mozart’s light and charming overture to La finta giardinera (“The Pretend Garden Girl”) contrasts Delius’s lush and romantic “A Walk to the Paradise Garden” from A Village\, Romeo and Juliet. We continue with Lily Boulanger’s a dreamy and atmospheric depiction of a spring morning in d’un matin de printemps (A Spring Morning) and Johann Strauss’s carefree set of waltzes entitled Voices of Spring. Our program closes with Schumann’s Symphony No. 1 which the composer himself said “must be filled with the longing for spring.” \nTickets $20 \nStudents and Seniors $10
