Spring Cleaning: Holistic Detox (Household Cleaning) Wednesday, May 13

Spring Cleaning: Holistic Detox (Household Cleaning)

The Holistic Detox Series is created to explore the fundamentals of the environmental toxin problem in 3 specific areas: The Kitchen (i.e. Nutrition), Personal Care Products and Household Cleaners.

We will identify chemicals found in these areas, explain the impact they can have on our health and explore safer choices. In each session you will learn how to make better choices and leave armed with information to help you make changes.

In Session 1 (April 1), Nicole Phelan will offer cleaner recipes and direct you towards anti-inflammatory choices in your diet.

In Session 2 (April 22), Nicole along with health coach and owner of Mpowering Health, Molly O’Neil, will provide an overview of ways to save your largest organ, your skin, from toxic personal care products, as well as point them towards the safest, and most effective alternatives. Participants will leave with samples to try at home.

Finally, in Session 3 (May 13), Nicole and Kristen Wesiberg, DoTerra Consultant, will explore the chemicals used in cleaning products, how they’re linked to disease, and why chronic, low-dose exposures can harm us. We will learn about how essential oils can be used as a safer alternative. Each participant will make a toxin-free, alternative cleaning product to bring home.

Gorton Community Center will take and may use photos and videos from this event for its promotional purposes. Your attendance indicates your consent to the above.
