Sewing: Adults Off the Shoulder Tops Feb 28 – March 28
This class is a 5 week workshop for Adults beginning Thursday, February 28 from 9:30AM-11:30AM
Class Description: Dive into the world of sewing! During this five week class, students can choose to
make an Off the Shoulder Top, Fleece Vest or students can purchase their own pattern and fabric
for a project of their likening. During the first class, we will review the sewing machine, discuss
patterns and choose projects. Students will learn the basics of the sewing machine and gain a better
understanding of patterns and production. This is a class that focuses primarily on the sewing
machine. We will cover various sewing techniques throughout the course. Sewing supplies,
including sewing machines, fabric, thread, needles, and pins, will be provided. Students may choose
to purchase additional specialty items on their own. *New and returning students welcome!

Gorton Community Center will take and may use photos and videos from this event for its promotional purposes. Your attendance indicates your consent to the above.
Class Refund and Cancellation Policy: Refunds will only be given up to one week prior to the first week of class of any session. (The refund period for some classes, which require advanced reservations or purchase of materials, may be more limited.) Cancellations will incur a $5 handling fee for programs costing under $100 and a 10% handling fee for programs with fees of $100 or more. If a class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, you will be notified, and a full refund will be given.
If this class does not meet the minimum participation requirement, you will be notified of the cancellation within one week of the start date.

On my behalf, and on behalf of my children, I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless Gorton, its employees, agents, and representatives, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto. I understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of Gorton, its employees, agents, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after participation in any program, event or activity that took place at Gorton.
