Mat Pilates for All via Zoom with April Nelson

Join April Nelson and build a strong core through Mat Pilates!  This class will focus on improving mobility, balance, low back health, reducing stress, and increase mind-body awareness.  Appropriate for all fitness levels.
Wednesdays beginning May 13 from 11:00-11:50AM

About April Nelson:
After 20+ years as an Executive in the corporate world, April Nelson was introduced to reformer-based Pilates as a way to relieve stress and some non-medical specific issues she dealing with. She loved it so much she decided to become a full-time Pilates teacher.  She completed her Pilates Certification Training (500+ hours) almost two years ago.  She is certified on the following apparatus: Mat, Reformer, Springboard, Trapeze Table/Cadillac, Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector, and Magic Circle.  She is also trained in TRX Suspension and myofacial work (foam rolling).  She has been teaching for Club Pilates at a studio in Buffalo Grove and also in Libertyville which is where she also completed her training apprenticeship.  She is trained to conduct classes in-person up to 12 people on equipment and  also private sessions.

Download the Zoom app https://zoom.us/download
– Open the Zoom app on your desktop 
– You will receive an email invitation from the meeting host which will have a link, and a meeting ID/password

– Click on the link in the email
– Join the meeting with video and audio enabled
** Remember to “Join the meeting with video and audio enabled!”

Class Refund and Cancellation Policy: Refunds will only be given up to one week prior to the first week of class of any session. (The refund period for some classes, which require advanced reservations or purchase of materials, may be more limited.) Cancellations will incur a $5 handling fee for programs costing under $100 and a 10% handling fee for programs with fees of $100 or more. If a class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, you will be notified, and a full refund will be given.

If this class does not meet the minimum participation requirement, you will be notified of the cancellation within one week of the start date.

By purchasing a ticket to an event at Gorton, I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that my child(ren) and/or I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by attending or participating in a Gorton program, event or activity and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. On my behalf, and on behalf of my children, I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless Gorton, its employees, agents, and representatives, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto.
