Photography Course with Francisco Marin
This class runs on Tuesdays, February 23 – April 13, 10:00am – 12:30pm
Join Francisco Marin in this 8 week photography course. Either you are starting out or you want to reinforce your knowledge, this photography course will help you to go from basics to creative photography! Requirements: DSLR Camera, Mirror Less, Micro 4/3, Range Finder. Point and Shoot can be accepted as long as it has controls to use full manual the camera.
Class 1: Introduction: Camera anatomy, Lenses and Focal Length, Camera functions 1
Class 2: Camera functions 2, Exposure (ISO-Aperture-Shutter Speed), Practice
Class 3: Field Trip
Class 4: Review of field trip (Photo critique with Q & A), Creative Techniques using manually Aperture and Shutter Speed, Assignment 1
Class 5: Field Trip
Class 6: Assignment Review and Field trip with Q & A, Composition, Use of Semi-Automatic mode with exposure compensation, Assignment 2
Class 7: Field Trip
Class 8: Assignment and Field trip review, Final Q & A
Gorton Community Center will take and may use photos and videos from this event for its promotional purposes. Your attendance indicates your consent to the above.
Class Refund and Cancellation Policy: Refunds will only be given up to one week prior to the first week of class of any session. (The refund period for some classes, which require advanced reservations or purchase of materials, may be more limited.) Cancellations will incur a $5 handling fee for programs costing under $100 and a 10% handling fee for programs with fees of $100 or more. If a class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, you will be notified, and a full refund will be given.
If this class does not meet the minimum participation requirement, you will be notified of the cancellation within one week of the start date.

On my behalf, and on behalf of my children, I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless Gorton, its employees, agents, and representatives, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto. I understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of Gorton, its employees, agents, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after participation in any Gorton program, event or activity.
