Join us for a post-film skype discussion with director Damon Gameau!

Motivated by concerns about the planet that his 4-year-old daughter would inherit, award-winning director Damon Gameau embarked on a global journey to meet innovators and change-makers in the areas of economics, technology, civil society, agriculture, education and sustainability. This journey is the central premise for the documentary “2040,” a story of hope that looks at the very real possibility that humanity could reverse global warming and improve the lives of every living thing in the process. It is a positive vision of what ‘could be’, instead of the dystopian future we are so often warned about.

One Earth Film Festival is the Midwest’s premier environmental film festival, creating opportunities for understanding climate change, sustainability and the power of human involvement. We showcase top-issue, thought-provoking environmental films and lead audiences in interactive post-film discussions focused on solutions. One Earth Film Festival is a production of Green Community Connections.

There are countless ways to take action and get involved. Grab your neighbors, friends and family and consider signing up for food scrap pick up, or helping plant fruit trees. Feel free to poke around. Then invoke the Power of We.

Teens and young adults encouraged to attend.

The One Earth Film Festival runs March 6-15. Visit www.oneearthfilmfest.org for trailers, tickets and schedules for more than 30 films in 50 locations throughout Chicagoland. #OEFF2020 #ThePowerOfWe
