Join Lake Forest Civic Orchestra for their November “Noted Trailblazers” chamber concert featuring the orchestral works of St. George, George Walker and Gwyneth Walker. Music director Christopher Ramaekers conducts Symphony No. 1 in G major and Symphony No.2 in D Major composed in the time of Maria Antoinette and the French revolution by Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint Georges for a chamber orchestra and two string quartets by noted American contemporary composers George Walker and Gwyneth Walker. The program is rounded out by a second Gwyneth Walker chamber orchestral piece “About Leaves”. These smaller chamber groups have been formed from the ranks of the orchestra for this special concert featuring these truly trailblazing composers.
This year the Lake Forest Civic Orchestra celebrates its 32nd year as Lake Forest’s orchestra. It is a true community orchestra bringing professional and accomplished amateur musicians together from the are to perform Sunday concerts at its home, Gorton Community Center. Lake Forest Civic Orchestra is an orchestra that has made it possible for people of all ages to use their musical talents and training throughout their lives. In accordance with Illinois safety regulations, only 50 tickets are available and only via advanced sales through www.lakeforestcivicorchestra.org
Tickets are $20 general admission, $10 Seniors/students
All patrons are required to wear a mask for the performance and will be seated in their social pods appropriately spaced from other patrons.

On my behalf, and on behalf of my children, I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless Gorton, its employees, agents, and representatives, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto. I understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of Gorton, its employees, agents, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after participation in any Gorton program, event or activity.
