Mountainfilm 2022: AFTER ANTARCTICA Part of the Mountainfilm on Tour
Mountainfilm is co-presented by the Gorton Community Center and Lake Forest Open Lands and sponsored by Butler Family Foundation and The Community Church of Lake Forest and Lake Bluff.
The exciting opening night feature film of Mountainfilm 2022, After Antarctica, tells the story of how lifelong explorer Will Steger and five other men set out on a seven-month-long expedition to traverse 4,000 miles across the continent of Antarctica. Together, they were six men from six different countries on a mission to defend and protect Antarctica from the exploitation it faced.
Mountainfilm on Tour is coming to Lake Forest on January 28 and 29, 2022!
This annual film festival brings a selection of culturally rich, adventure-packed, and inspiring documentary films curated from the Mountainfilm Festival held every Memorial Day weekend in Telluride, Colorado.
The films explore themes connected to Mountainfilm’s mission using the power of film and ideas to inspire audiences to create a better world. There will be multiple film experiences over the two-day event including a Friday evening feature film, After Antarctica, Saturday showings of Adventure Shorts and Family-Friendly Shorts and the popular Saturday evening Mountainfilm Medley of documentary films.
Individual film tickets and packages for all Mountainfilm festival showings at Gorton Community Center are available for purchase.
Gorton Center will take and may use photos and videos from this event for its promotional purposes. Your attendance indicates your consent to the above.

On my behalf, and on behalf of my children, I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless Gorton, its employees, agents, and representatives, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto. I understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of Gorton, its employees, agents, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after participation in any program, event or activity that took place at Gorton.
