Celebrate Lake Forest day with Gorton by marching with us during this year’s parade! This year will mark the 114th edition of Lake Forest Day, sponsored by the American Legion Post #264. The Lake Forest Day Carnival and Parade is the largest annual celebration in the City of Lake Forest and is attended by thousands of residents and visitors from surrounding communities. Your cooperation makes this a special community event. Remember the spirit of the event and enjoy yourself! Keep the fun going directly after the parade at the Lake Forest Day carnival at West Park in Lake Forest. 

Gorton will be marching with Mundelein’s Old Number One fire engine! Old Number One is a 1925 Stoughton fire engine, and it is the first fire engine that the village of Mundelein has ever had. Thank you to the Mundelein Fire Department for lending us their fire engine.

Meet us in the Gorton parking lot at 9:30 am. We will walk together to the start of the route, and the parade will begin promptly at 10 am. Gorton will provide banners and goodies to hand out to parade-goers. Wear your Safety Town gear and/or Gorton colors if you’d like. Free to join.
