“The freshest, most fabulous, feel-good musical of the decade”Hollywood Reporter
“Dazzling and uplifting”Time Out

Strutting its stuff from London’s Adelphi Theatre is the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award® winning musical KINKY BOOTS, based on the film written by Geoff Deane and Tim Firth. With songs from Grammy and Tony award winning pop icon Cindy Lauper, book by legendary Broadway playwright Harvey Fierstein (LA CAGE AUX FOLLES) and direction and choreography by Jerry Mitchell (LEGALLY BLONDE, HAIRSPRAY). Charlie is a factory owner struggling to save his family business, and Lola is a fabulous entertainer with a wildly exciting idea. With a little compassion and a lot of understanding, this unexpected pair learn to embrace their differences and create a line of sturdy stilettos unlike any the world has ever seen! But in the end, their most sensational achievement is their friendship.

Tony Award Winner – Best Musical, Best Actor in a Musical, Best Score, Best Costume Design

What is National Theatre Live?
National Theatre Live is an initiative operated by the Royal National Theatre in London, which captures live performances of their productions and provides these high definition and quality recordings to cinemas and community centers around the world.Though each broadcast is filmed in front of a live audience in the theatre, cameras are carefully positioned throughout the auditorium to ensure that audiences get the “best seat in the house” view of each production.
